Isshin & Locked Pages
:Questions? You can ask on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!

  +
As for Isshin - I've already removed one vote for him that as the user obviously didn't read the voting policy. I've left an oppose vote for him outlining some reasons why it shouldn't be the featured article. Hopefully that will discourage a few people, but I reckon that a lot of people that go there to vote don't pay attention to such things. They've already made up their mind and will vote for it regardless. I question whether appearing on one page and saying one short line is enough to have him on that vote list. He barely appeared and since the 31st is Wednesday, we won't get a new chapter this month. So that tiny appearance is all he has this month. I'll see about fixing up some of the problems with the article. --<span style="color: #4CC552;">Yyp</span> <span style="color: #4CC552;">(Talk)</span> 11:46, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

I'll do a bit more on it later today. And I've taken him off the vote list. Speaking of locked pages, I noticed that the Zanpakutō and Espada pages are locked. Are you finished work on them or is there another reason they're still protected? --<span style="color: #4CC552;">Yyp</span> <span style="color: #4CC552;">(Talk)</span> 14:53, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

I realize there is a lot of potential to mess something up with the new tables, but I don't think we should just leave it protected indefinitely. Maybe unlock it for a while and see how it goes. If there are problems, we can easily lock it again. Too bad we can't just lock sections of a page. --<span style="color: #4CC552;">Yyp</span> <span style="color: #4CC552;">(Talk)</span> 15:46, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

Gran Danku seems to have moved Muramasa's page without discussing it first (moved to Muramasa (spirit). I'm not sure what you'll do about it (I'm with you either way), but I really think we should have discussed it first. So, what do we do about the page itself? Should we move it back, or leave it as is? The reason I ask is because he only moved the article. Alright, thanks for your verification/explanation. I knew that the manga is the primary source for all articles but I was not sure how to go about things when a fight is added on by the anime. Also, thanks for telling me that we are going by the present tense (since I do believe that I may have put some parts of articles in the past tense). - Mr. N 23:50, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

Also, may I have you check the Renji Abarai vs Yylfordt Granz page? If I am reading your explanation correctly, the details from the anime add-on should be put in the Reference section and not the Battle article of the Fight page...but I am not sure (so I did not move that segment yet). - Mr. N 00:11, March 27, 2010 (UTC)

It's just that at the time I wrote the summary for Ichigo Kurosaki vs. Renji Abarai & Byakuya Kuchiki. I think it was even before the battle project was initially put on hold, and I thought, since it's already written, why don't the committee take a look at it and move it to the complete list, as a sort of one time allowance. == Dvd section ==

I was thinking about starting a dvd section. The section would include details of both region 1(North America) and region 2(Japan) releases. The section would include dvd release dates, details about the standard edition, special edition, dvd boxsets(this really pertains more to region 1 releases) and movie dvds. Include details about each dvd like episodes included on disc, aspect ratios(episodes 1-167 the aspect ratio is 4:3(fullscreen) episodes 168+ is 16:9(widescreen)), special features(bleach behind the scenes is a good example), clean endings, cover art, audio tracks(for the tv series it is a linear pcm stereo track, for the movies it's both 5.1 surround sound and stereo) and much more!
  +
  +
Tell me if you think this is a good Idea? I also own season 1-3 boxsets and dubbed movies 1 and 2, so I could give you a lot of information on that.

Yyp told me it is you who keeps deleting my votes for the featured article. He said you require a minumum of 5 edits per month to vote. I have made more than 5 edits. I have even done 5 different pages I believe. I have done about 3 or 4 grammar fixes on Rangiku's article alone. Why will you not let me vote?--<font color="black" face="Verdana">Godisme</font> <font color="black" face="Verdana">(Talk)</font> 23:16, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I acknowledged that it needed some work but I also mention that of the articles we could vote for, his was the best. Rangiku as I had mentioned has many many grammatical errors that will take a long time to fix. Wonderweiss is not that great an article. He falls pray to fandom and its just not a good article. I did not know that Ichigo's article was permanently closed. I do feel he has a good article though. There is vast amounts of info for Ichigo and I think his article has done a pretty good job of keeping up with it and organizing it. I read through and as I have said, I am a grammar corrector and I see few grammatical mistakes that jump out at me like other articles. As for my edits this month. I thought I had more but I now have enough to vote. I do not correct articles just to vote. I correct as I go. If I am reading an article and I see something that needs to be corrected I do. Yes, when my vote got deleted I made some corrections but it was not purely so I could vote. Believe it or not I do want to see quality information on this site presented in proper english. I get the sense you will not let me vote because you do not want me voting for Ichigo but I have stated my reasons and I honestly believe he has a good article. If you want me to reword my vote I will but I will not change what I article I think deserves to be featured.
  +
  +
One more thing a little off topic. Why is the vote constricted to characters who were recently featured. This is what causes it to be a popularity contest. If it was a vote for who you truly believed was the best article on this site I think you would see less of a popularity contest and more of what you want to see.--<font color="black" face="Verdana">Godisme</font> <font color="black" face="Verdana">(Talk)</font> 00:12, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

I tripled check the latest chapter and it appears that Isshin flicked his middle finger but it hit him on his own arm; this to me seems like Hado 1: Sho (wih 20 times the power to what we have seen); without any incantation or chant. The kido part I can agree with; but if you look closely it is obvious that his finger hits his own arm (as can be seen by the hair on his arm which no doubt is Isshin's); so I don't think that has anything to do with Immense strenght; but with Kido Master(y). I get the sense that you don't really like me so I will make this quick. The blogs are not harming the site. They are fun and are meant to be so. You continuously misquote me. That is why I said I dont think you like me very much. You obviously have no respect for me. I contribute to the wiki. I have many edits. I dont create pages like you do but I do grammar edits which this site needs. I never bad mouthed you. If you read anything I said you would know that I have no problem with you as long as you allow me to remain in peace. There is no rule against posting lots of comments on blogs. They are fun and should remain so. As I said, just make it so blogs do not show up in the feed. You have quite a few posts on the bankai blog so according to you you should be reprimanded. My point is this: we respect your wishes so you should respect ours. Well if you had taken the time to ask, I cannot be constantly editing everything. Most days I make a few blog comments and some edits but today I did all blog comments as I am trying to relax as I have a huge exam tomorrow that will determine whether or not I pass a class in my major. I have been studying my ass off and came on here to have a little fun. I was planning on doing a major overhaul of the grammar on a few of my favorite pages after my exam tomorrow. As for the blogs, the only problem seems to be the clogging of your feed. I ask though, on this site is the feed truly necessary. I had never really payed attention to it until I started getting involved with the blogs. I will strike a deal with you as I seem to have a bit of say with the blogging community. I will try and ask everyone to limit the comments per day. In return I ask you allow us to continue with our fun--<font color="black" face="Verdana">Godisme</font> <font color="black" face="Verdana">(Talk)</font> 03:35, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Firstly Salubri, please dont talk down to me, lets try and keep this civil ok. Now i would like to state that i have not been bad-mouthing you, infact if you read my comments i have stated several times that i appreciate all the hard-work you have done on this wikia. Next, you say we should leave this site because its not meant for blogs and that our edits are cluttering your feed, well why dont you just edit your feed so you dont get messages about our blogs, that seems quite a fair and simple way to deal with that. Also i think the point of the blogs on this site are to allow conversations between users while allowing them to have equal access to factual info within the same site, honeslty what is said on the blogs has no effect on the content. Now to your final point, you seem to infer that there is a hierarchy in this wikia.... a sort of fascist regime if anything in which our worth as members is only calculated by how many contributions we can make. Well im sorry, but as ive said before if i see an article that needs fixed i will fix it, but honestly im a university student doing an honours degree in History and at the same time i work 2 part time jobs to pay my way though it, i simply dont have the time to trawl through every page looking for grammatical errors, but be assured if i randomly spot some i will fix them. Now im sorry if my dedication to editing this wikia is not good enough for you, but i do my best for the time i have and if you are going to fault me on that then thats your problem. As ive said repeatedly i very much appreciate what you and other admins do i and i dont want to appear to be slandering you or your efforts, but quite simply i hope you lay-off the little fun we have on the blogs, we prefer the blogs on this site, if you dont want them interrupting your news feed you can change your settings and i shall continue to edit as much as i can.GinIchimaru<br />
  +
<br />
  +
Im sorry but the time it takes to write a small comment on a blog thread compared with the time taken to trawl through endless pages looking for something to fix is massive, and i resent your accusation that im constantly on the blogs, ive actually only started using them perhaps two days ago. Also im reletively new to contributing, though i have made contributions in the past. All i can say on the blogs is that there was a blogging section and i decided to use it..... and no i dont want to go to another site i like to both blog and if i get the chance read around pages on the wikia, i dont treat this at all like a social networking site. All in all Salubri i think your taking this abit too seriously, you state that you dont like seeing the blogs, but i know for a fact you can set it so as you dont "watch a page" and thus you wont get its updates. I honestly dont know why you are being so nasty about this when it really has no affect on the rest of the wikia, as godisme stated he is editing and im editing as much as i can, infact i may be editing more with me being on study break soon, but even at that i dont see why i should have my rights to be on this wikia removed simply because i am not editing as quickly and as vastly as you are. Also perhaps you'd get your point across abit easier if you didn't say everything in such an insulting tone, ive been corrected by Yyp before but he is never malicious or unreasonable in how he acts and instead is able to clearly and reasonably explain things, whereas you seem to be the opposite. Perhaps when the other admins see this they will support you but i honestly wont understand it if they do, if you are all in anyway human you will understand the benefits of interaction that comes from blogging on a small section of this wikia, after all this is a wikia devoted to an entertainment series, im sure at least part of this site should be devoted to actually enjoying it and having fun with it. == Re: Grammar ==
  +

As of now, I am fine working by myself. It takes me about 15 minutes to completely overhaul all the grammar on a page (except Starrk who take like 25 because it was so bad). I will look around and see if anyone wants to do pages but it works best if one person does one article so you aren't messing with already done edits.
  +
  +
Blogs, Translation & IRC
  +
  +
IRC - I personally have no interest in it, but I'm not against using it if there was a desire for it in the community (though I don't see many people posting in that thread in support of it). I don't really know much about IRC, but looking at what I can find on the help pages and on wikipedia, if we used it, it would need proper security against attacks, as well as regular policing. I feel it would just be another distraction from admin work if one of us was doing that job, though I see AnimeGeek7 has volunteered for that task, but as a new user, (s)he is an unknown quantity. We'd need to know what the people policing it are like before giving them that authority, and we might need more than just him/her, depending how popular it proved to be. I guess it's a neutral vote from me on this.
  +
  +
Translation - good idea. Some of those discussions are taking over the talk pages. Centralize the discussions and place a direct link to the discussion on the talk page of whichever article is concerned, directing any comments back to that discussion. I support that.
  +
  +
Blogs - I have never taken much interest in the blogs, but I don't think we should just get rid of them. They were a nuisance today/last night, there is no denying that. I logged on this morning to find 140 blog posts that I had to thrall through to check for problems. That is a ridiculous waste of my time. But this is the first time that it has been an issue and hopefully a once off. I was wondering if we should consider appointing somebody that would be responsible for looking after the blogs, watching out for spoiler policy violations (was a problem this week & a month or so ago too) and general behaviour issues etc, basically to serve as a moderator. That would remove the need for us to be too concerned with the blogs. As for the issue of people bloging but not editing the wiki - I think we should encourage them to contribute to the wiki, help them get started with editing the articles if they need help. I've left Godisme & GinIchimaru messages pointing out where they can help out, and both of them are making an effort to contribute.

Can't figure it out. Clearly you haven't read the project directive carefully. I know Rukia's and Ishida's pages are marked for overhaul. But we aren't overhauling the page. We are just expanding the plot section of the "Agent of the Shinigami Arc". All that means is that when you do get around to overhauling the article, said section will hopefully not require as much work as other sections. In addition, until the pages are overhauled, said plot section will have something more then it currently has. So I repeat, we are not overhauling the page. But strictly restricting our work to expanding the "Agent of the Shinigami Arc" plot section for both those articles. <span style="color: #DA70D6;">Tinni</span> <span style="font-size:95%; font-family: courier new; color: #DA70D6">(Talk)</span> 06:43, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

There is nothing to explain. I removed the "marked for overhaul" articles because they were clogging up space. Since we weren't going to work on them, it doesn't matter to us one way or the other whether they are marked for overhaul or not. Only two articles that were marked for work by the project from the "marked for overhaul" pile were Rukia and Ishida's articles. Those got extremely narrow parameters assigned to them. I.e. only the "Agent of the Shinigami Arc" section. I didn't discuss anything with the admins because there was nothing to discuss. The project merely expanded to specifically work on problems that are already flagged on WikiStickies, stubs and is the kind of improvement that happen on and off everyday in the wiki. I.e. general improvement of articles by adding pictures, expanding what's written etc, etc. The project is merely focusing effort. Honestly, I just think you are entirely too hostile towards the project, as you were towards the Referencing project. If it makes you feel better go ahead and protect all the "marked for overhaul" pages. It just means that you, Yyp and Arrancar109 will have to do all the work. Which is fine by me. I was just trying to help. No, what you just said, is that you would remove someone's work no matter how good it is during overhaul. Which is my point. Either you think that people who work on committee projects aren't any good and as such, we should just shut down all project now and save us trouble. Or the people who work on committee project are good, don't use speculative language, do reference properly and in that case no matter how much work they do, it is unlikely to disappear during overhaul. Then you should lock them because this is silly. The Agent of the Shinigami Arc of the Ishida and Rukia's pages have been in a woeful state for ages and according to you we should just leave it like that. Which is stupid. When are the admins going to get around to fixing them? This month? Next month? This year? In three years? All work in wiki can be deleted. It's a matter of when and why. Unless you plan on working on Ishida and Rukia's page soon, then I don't see how it is a waste of time to work on either when the work done can last months, years even before the admins get around to overhauling the article. Also, whether you intend it not, it does come across as if you have something person against this particular project. Well I don't see you point of view at all. As far as I am concerned all you are doing is keeping multiple pages in poor condition for no good reason. But whatever! I am tired of his argument. Basically, I'd just like to know if you can do that as a kind of safety net in case I make, in your opinion, a bad edit. Otherwise we're gonna wind up with an aftermath section three times the size of the battle, since it has to cover like three or four complete chapters, while the battle is a few pages here a few pages there. Help:Sidebar explains some of it. Apparently you can add articles to this page MediaWiki:Most popular articles, and they will appear in the editors pick section. Not sure about the others, might be determined on what got the most visits/votes that particular week. There's nothing there to explain it. And thanks for adding those committee links to the sidebar. ==Re: Userboxs==

Well all the userboxes that I made have 75px for picture size. Other boxes like the Gotei 13 support box and stuff have a 50px for picture size. However, that just controls the width of the pictures and many of the pictures vary in height. All of this results in the non-uniform look. I am not too fussed about that myself as most people won't have enough user boxes on their user pages to notice the difference. But we can always try for an uniform dimension - which won't be easy because of the varying image sizes and also the amount of text in the boxes. :Also, someone has asked on Bleach Wiki talk:Featured Picture if the pictures from the intro would be allowed for the feat. picture vote. There's nothing in the rules about it, other than they must come from the manga or anime. There are good pics in it, even if they have problems that rules them out of being used on the articles. --<span style="color: #4CC552;">Yyp</span> <span style="color: #4CC552;">(Talk)</span> 10:52, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah that would've been me asking. I was just think I could put this picture up as there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it plus it's a pretty decent shot of Stark in his released form fighting. I'd also suggest the shot with Yammy, Kenpachi and Byakuya all fighting but I think I remember seeing that same shot as featured picture when it was released in the manga not too long ago. So I dunno, would it be allowed to add this picture as a potential feature candidate or not? Prophet of Sanghelios 09:14, April 17, 2010 (UTC)

Okay seeing as nobody has said anything about it I've added the picture to the Featured Picture setup, though I think it should be added to the rules of adding pictures that, "Images from the opening scenes may only be added within the month of it's initial release and have as little inconsistencies with the original storyline as possible." Or something like that, so people won't be adding images from opening themes over and over again. Prophet of Sanghelios 02:41, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Hey.
  +
  +
There's been a debate between Arrancar 109 and myself after he moved Uryū Ishida vs. Cirucci Sanderwicci to Uryū Ishida and Pesche Guatiche vs. Cirucci Sanderwicci. I claimed that if we make this move than we have to change many other battles in which there are other less significant participants than the two or three main combatants, citing Tōshirō Hitsugaya, Rangiku Matsumoto, Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa vs. Luppi as one possible move if we make it a policy.
  +

He told me to take it up with you, also because once you move a page you essentially need to change all the links to it. I say the page ought to be moved back and the policy should remain as is. Well, I wasn't against moving it back; I just didn't know what to do. You're the one who took charge of the Fight Summary Project, so I didn't want to make any wrong decisions regarding how the page was moved (hence the reason why I didn't fix either Toshiro vs. Luppi or Uryu vs. Cirucci). But yeah, if it happens again, I'll move it back. And yeah, as you saw, the user has been warned not to do it again (and I saw that you protected those pages from being moved), so he/she won't do it again. The user might want to discuss it, but he/she won't (or can't, in those 2 articles' case) move it without administrator approval. Okay well seeing as Ichigo's page is locked to users like me I was thinking you could add these images to replace the manga shot's. The one with Inoue defending Ichigo should be obvious where to put it, while the other I think could potentially be a better profile picture, you get a good look at his face and bankai robes, even if it may go in the face of what makes a good profile picture. Oh and half the new ep is a filler fight where Chad and Renji fight this sand hollow called Battikaroa, but I dunno if it's worth putting pictures up for that in Chad and Renji's profiles. Normally, I'm not one to butt into conversations on other people's Talk Pages, but I feel the need to address two things here. Firstly, we've decided on Ichigo's pic as of yesterday. I'm not sure about Salubri here, but I don't want to discuss another change until the current arc is over at least in the manga. Besides, this picture wouldn't work anyway. Ichigo's positioning is in an angle (he's fighting in this pic, so it's understandable why), and it seems that his bangs are a bit more into his face as usual.
  +
  +
Secondly, I already updated Ichigo's Plot section with the pic of Orihime using her Santen Kesshun, so there's no need to worry about that anymore. Isshin & Locked Pages

--Yyp (Talk) 11:46, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

I'll do a bit more on it later today. And I've taken him off the vote list. Speaking of locked pages, I noticed that the Zanpakutō and Espada pages are locked. Are you finished work on them or is there another reason they're still protected? --Yyp (Talk) 14:53, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

I realize there is a lot of potential to mess something up with the new tables, but I don't think we should just leave it protected indefinitely. Maybe unlock it for a while and see how it goes. If there are problems, we can easily lock it again. Too bad we can't just lock sections of a page. --Yyp (Talk) 15:46, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

I think we've resolved some of the issues we used to have with it, like Shinji/Aizen now being in illusion type. I'll add it to the Committee's list of high risk pages anyway. --Yyp (Talk) 16:05, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

I see that the Ichigo Kurosaki and the Zanpakutō Rebellion are locked as well. And by the way, why do you unlock the locked pages, only to change something and then lock again?--Gran Danku (Talk) 23:04, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Re: Ichigo vs. Hollow Ichigo fights

Makes sense, what about assisted fights? Such as Ichigo Kurosaki & Hollow Ichigo vs. Muramasa? SerialSniper14(Talk) 01:55, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

Unapproved move

Gran Danku seems to have moved Muramasa's page without discussing it first (moved to Muramasa (spirit). I'm not sure what you'll do about it (I'm with you either way), but I really think we should have discussed it first. I left him a message warning him about that, but maybe you should look into the matter as well. Arrancar109 (Talk) 04:41, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

So, what do we do about the page itself? Should we move it back, or leave it as is? The reason I ask is because he only moved the article. He did not change any of the other pages that link to Muramasa, including the Zanpakuto Spirit template. Arrancar109 (Talk) 05:20, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Translation

Yeah, we should probably go ahead and do that with the translation notes if it's really getting that long. But we should probably leave a redirect for it as well. And I'll take a look at that RNC thing as well. Arrancar109 (Talk) 04:58, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Fight Summary Edits

Re: Fight nav

I didn't make anything. You were the one who made that nav back at the end of January according to the history. I just noticed that it wasn't added to the pages and they had blank nav sections instead so I figured I would add it. Sorry if I wasn't supposed to. The Shadow Dragon 04:54, March 27, 2010 (UTC)

Ichigo v Renji & Byakuya

Hi, Salburi, sorry to bother you again.

Weedefinition (Talk) 13:37, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

You got a point about the referencing, but I'll take care of that (the article isn't locked, after all). As for everything else, well I guess it'll have to wait until the project catches up to the earlier fights. BTW, what's the schedule we're working by, in terms of firsts and lasts, I mean? Weedefinition (Talk) 22:26, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Dvd section

Tell me if you think this is a good Idea? I also own season 1-3 boxsets and dubbed movies 1 and 2, so I could give you a lot of information on that.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, --Lemursrule 21:19, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for taking the time. If the other Admins are up to the challenge, I will gladly help contribute to the proposed section. --Lemursrule 21:33, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Deleted Votes

Yyp told me it is you who keeps deleting my votes for the featured article. He said you require a minumum of 5 edits per month to vote. I have made more than 5 edits. I have even done 5 different pages I believe. I have done about 3 or 4 grammar fixes on Rangiku's article alone. Why will you not let me vote?--Godisme (Talk) 23:16, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

One more thing a little off topic. Why is the vote constricted to characters who were recently featured. This is what causes it to be a popularity contest. If it was a vote for who you truly believed was the best article on this site I think you would see less of a popularity contest and more of what you want to see.--Godisme (Talk) 00:12, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

Isshin's attack.

I tripled check the latest chapter and it appears that Isshin flicked his middle finger but it hit him on his own arm; this to me seems like Hado 1: Sho (wih 20 times the power to what we have seen); without any incantation or chant. Captain Brooks 23:00, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

The kido part I can agree with; but if you look closely it is obvious that his finger hits his own arm (as can be seen by the hair on his arm which no doubt is Isshin's); so I don't think that has anything to do with Immense strenght; but with Kido Master(y). Blogs

I get the sense that you don't really like me so I will make this quick. The blogs are not harming the site. They are fun and are meant to be so. All the mass comments are doing is clogging your feed. So what? Would it not be simpler to disable blog posts from appearing in the feed than to take away our fun? Please allow us to continue--Godisme (Talk) 02:35, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

That is unless you see yourself as a totalitarian in which case I am gone--Godisme (Talk) 03:04, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

In return I ask you allow us to continue with our fun--Godisme (Talk) 03:35, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Blog

As ive said repeatedly i very much appreciate what you and other admins do i and i dont want to appear to be slandering you or your efforts, but quite simply i hope you lay-off the little fun we have on the blogs, we prefer the blogs on this site, if you dont want them interrupting your news feed you can change your settings and i shall continue to edit as much as i can.GinIchimaru

Re: Naming first arc

Well, there are names I encountered in this Wiki like 'Substitute Shinigami arc', 'Agent of the Shinigami arc' and the likes. But I'm guessing what's on your mind is a name for the conflict space in the template. I have to admit I was wondering what you intended to write there and I'm sorry to say I don't have an answer. But I'm a creative guy, and now that I'm on the case I promise I'll give it some more serious thought. Weedefinition (Talk) 16:59, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Grammar

As of now, I am fine working by myself. It takes me about 15 minutes to completely overhaul all the grammar on a page (except Starrk who take like 25 because it was so bad). I will look around and see if anyone wants to do pages but it works best if one person does one article so you aren't messing with already done edits.

Blogs, Translation & IRC

Translation - good idea. Some of those discussions are taking over the talk pages. Centralize the discussions and place a direct link to the discussion on the talk page of whichever article is concerned, directing any comments back to that discussion. I support that.

PS: sorry for the delay in getting back to you on these. --Yyp (Talk) 23:13, April 1, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Poll

Can I have a look at the code? Tinni (Talk) 06:22, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Can't figure it out. Help:Polls says to add div.ajax-poll { width:auto !important; } to the MediaWiki:Common.css, but it didn't seem to make a difference to that or to the default poll option when I tried it. I don't really know what I'm doing with that, so I've removed it in case it messes anything else up. --Yyp (Talk) 09:11, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

I think that lines needs to be put back for a start because otherwise the width change commands don't seem to have any effect at all. Leave it in for a day or two and if we still can't get the poll thing working, then we can take it out. Tinni (Talk) 10:46, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Suggestions for Manual of Style - Powers and Abilities

I had made a few suggestions regarding the organization of Powers and Abilities in the Manual of Style's talk page, and I would like a more experienced view point, if it's not much trouble. MarqFJA 16:43, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Improvement Project

There's actually a bit of a problem with that as I have already started working on his page and I have added quite a bit of info to it. So is it okay if I just save the edits I made and then work on a different character or should I just not save them at all?TheDevilHand888 06:33, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Tinni (Talk) 06:43, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Tinni (Talk) 07:19, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Tinni (Talk) 14:49, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Tinni (Talk) 15:39, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Well I don't see you point of view at all. As far as I am concerned all you are doing is keeping multiple pages in poor condition for no good reason. But whatever! I am tired of his argument. If expanding the "Agent of the Shinigami Arc" plot section for Rukia and Ishida is such a big deal, they can stay the way they are. Not like we don't have plenty to work on as it is. Tinni (Talk) 16:04, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Currently it is me and GinIchimaru. One other volunteered but he has not gotten back to me and I have seen that he has not done anything. I will let you know if any others volunteer. Currently, Yyp has asked that we change the history sections on pages to past tense. I have gone through and begun changing verb tenses--Godisme (Talk) 19:52, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Hey Salubri, thanks very much for hyperlinking my edit! I honestly don't know how to do that, infact could you maybe tell me how to as it may save you having to do it in future. Thanks for any help! GinIchimaru

Rollback

Can the admins undo any rollbacks they think is unnecessary? I've come across a trivia edit I consider to be junk, and am not sure how easy it would be to correct if the rest of you didn't agree. TomServo101 20:48, April 4, 2010 (UTC)

Basically, I'd just like to know if you can do that as a kind of safety net in case I make, in your opinion, a bad edit. It's primarily a) to make sure I don't get into trouble for using it for what you consider a good edit, and b) as, a side effect, I'd be more comfortable in actually using rollback. Re: Pages (Translation/Grammar)

Neat.

Thanks for the heads-up. A single place for such things could be helpful. I was never very good with pure, "perfect" grammar in school--I try to write literately in a way that flows well when I recite it in my thoughts, but I'm sure true gramm-masters XD could pick it to shreds. I suppose I'll see if Godisme and co. castigate me for anything :) . While I'm no expert in translation, either, any help I can render, I'll endeavor to provide. Doubtless, if we all had the time, we could scour nearly every page and cross-reference every name and find lots of areas that could do with some honing. Because we lack such time, though, I'll likely continue to await your posts to direct me to specific issues--as well as perusing this translation page for other questions. Adam Restling 04:08, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

They look good. The only issue I have with it is that shouldn't it be in the project namespace, instead of main? Yyp (Talk) 10:42, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Ok. I'll put up a couple of wikistickies about it and I guess it could go on the news in the main page too, to get it some attention. Seems to be going well already. --Yyp (Talk) 10:56, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Retitling

I hope you don't mind that I retitled the sections in the grammar corner. I felt that the first completed section was being used for pages that have only had partial completes done and the other was for ones that had had full workups. Considering that this is a wiki, I figured all pages need to be reviewed constantly for grammar as people add or change info all the time.--Godisme (Talk) 04:58, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Unohana's shikai concerns

Hey Salubri, this is just a thought, while reading through Unohana's page, i notice in the description for her shikai, "When released in Shikai form, Minazuki will start to morph, turning into a green like gas substance before taking a solid shape of a" etc. Just wondering whether or not we should keep this as we haven't actually "seen" what happens when she calls Minazuki, just when it is in it's released state and when it is being sealed. Any thoughts? AuronValentine 10:25, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Ichigo v GJ II aftermath

I'd bother Nwang with this, but he takes longer to reply.

Could you please take a look at Ichigo Kurosaki vs. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez: Round Two and tell me if you don't think the aftermath part isn't getting a little bit overly lengthy. I'm considering doing a more summarized version of the conversation with Ukitake and Yama and of the school scene. Otherwise we're gonna wind up with an aftermath section three times the size of the battle, since it has to cover like three or four complete chapters, while the battle is a few pages here a few pages there. And that's only Ichigo's aftermath, when we get to GJ's we have to describe the entire healing/killing scene all over again. Weedefinition (Talk) 22:25, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

Ichigo's Page (Hollowfication)

You've probably answered this question before and it's kinda hard to put into words, but here goes..... my question is about this part right here:

"Third Mask: During Ichigo's fight with Ulquiorra, it changed to a mask that resembles a Human skull with two horns. Two stripes begin on the back of his mask and go to the front, resulting in a shape that resembles a broken outline of a heart. The eye holes also widen from their slit shapes, becoming more open."

Is this even accurate? i mean, technically this doesn't count as a mask but another full hollow transformation. right? what do you think? KidRah 16:49, April 10, 2010 (UTC)

you also might want to change the caption under the picture from "Ichigo's fourth mask" to Ichigo's Third Mask" KidRah 11:23, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

Question

Hey, Salubri, you seem to be well-versed in more advanced wiki functions so I had a question I hoped you could answer. Users here that have rollback rights are all in the Lieutenants user group. How does one create a user group like that?

Sorry I didn't realize I didn't sign my post. Anyhow, according to Special:ListGroupRights there are Lieutenants, Captains, and Captain Commanders, which are all (by default) called rollback, Administrators, and Bureaucrats respectively. Do you know how to change those names? SerialSniper14(Talk) 05:20, April 11, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Committee

All right I'll do that right now. I just need to know two things that I'm slightly unsure of. In the Bleach Wiki:Policy & Standards Committee page do I nominate myself in the section that says Membership nominations, and if so do I just put my username there or do I give reasons as to why I should be a committee member too? TheDevilHand888 13:42, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Sidebar

Help:Sidebar explains some of it. Apparently you can add articles to this page MediaWiki:Most popular articles, and they will appear in the editors pick section. If it is left blank, or there are less than 7 entries, then it just puts in the most visited pages to fill it up. Not sure about the others, might be determined on what got the most visits/votes that particular week. There's nothing there to explain it. And thanks for adding those committee links to the sidebar. I tried that a few months ago, but for some reason they wouldn't show up, even though other things I added at the same time did. --Yyp (Talk) 11:33, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

Speculation and making up stuff

This is only an example - hope you will take it as it is:-

1. I am not saying Aizen is Isshin brothers - but when Isshin appears - Aizen looks like he hated Isshin all his lives - like a brother hates a brother - but then again if this is wrong - stating it like that - when I am trying to argue what really happens between Aizen and Isshin - because I my self do not knows the answer - and for that reason you believe that I am making up stuff just to lead people to believe in me like what you have stated - but my purpose is only to understand why the hell Aizen looks like that when Isshin shows up. But then we have to wait until June 2010 to have clear picture do not they.

2. Okay I am well confused with this site policy - can you tells me what can we write exactly - about the current Bleach series - in this site's blog ?

3. Then saying about fan fiction - all I know about the site they only creates new story - new characters - they did not talk about the current Bleach series - accordingly - please enlightened me what part of my blog consist of items engaging in pure fan fiction or against the policy of this site?

But anyway before I am blocked from this site at least you would answer this 2 question.

Thank You

Regards

Cirucci

Is it okay to change the profile picture on cirucci's page with the one on the talk page? --|WhiteArmor|(Talk)|-- 16:27, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Userboxs

Well all the userboxes that I made have 75px for picture size. Other boxes like the Gotei 13 support box and stuff have a 50px for picture size. However, that just controls the width of the pictures and many of the pictures vary in height. All of this results in the non-uniform look. I am not too fussed about that myself as most people won't have enough user boxes on their user pages to notice the difference. But we can always try for an uniform dimension - which won't be easy because of the varying image sizes and also the amount of text in the boxes. Tinni (Talk) 09:22, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Pics

How about adding this to the "Using Images" section of the Image Policy:

 • "Only images from official sources, such as the manga, anime and databooks, may be used in the articles. Images from the opening and closing credits of the anime may not be used in the articles (his is because of differences in the art style, as well as inaccuracies and discrepancies in the portrayal of certain characters and/or scenes)."

Might be worth adding a list of what is expected of profile pictures too. Yyp (Talk) 10:29, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

Also, someone has asked on Bleach Wiki talk:Featured Picture if the pictures from the intro would be allowed for the feat. picture vote. There's nothing in the rules about it, other than they must come from the manga or anime. There are good pics in it, even if they have problems that rules them out of being used on the articles. --Yyp (Talk) 10:52, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
File:Starrk released.jpg

Ishida V Cirucci

Hey.

He told me to take it up with you, also because once you move a page you essentially need to change all the links to it. I say the page ought to be moved back and the policy should remain as is. Weedefinition (Talk) 10:08, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Ok. You should probably let the other admins know the reasons for this, so that these things dom't happen again WD Talk to me 15:02, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Arrancar109 (Talk) 16:09, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Where's the source?

I've noticed that most of the information given on the Bleach wiki is not located in the manga or anime. How are you getting your informtion? and where exactly can i find this info for myself? is there some sort of databook for the series? KidRah 17:48, April 19, 2010 (UTC)

Ichigo's Page Update

File:Inoue defends ichigo.jpg
File:Potential ichigo profile.jpg

Okay well seeing as Ichigo's page is locked to users like me I was thinking you could add these images to replace the manga shot's. The one with Inoue defending Ichigo should be obvious where to put it, while the other I think could potentially be a better profile picture, you get a good look at his face and bankai robes, even if it may go in the face of what makes a good profile picture. Oh and half the new ep is a filler fight where Chad and Renji fight this sand hollow called Battikaroa, but I dunno if it's worth putting pictures up for that in Chad and Renji's profiles. Prophet of Sanghelios 04:02, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

Secondly, I already updated Ichigo's Plot section with the pic of Orihime using her Santen Kesshun, so there's no need to worry about that anymore. Arrancar109 (Talk) 06:35, April 21, 2010 (UTC)
